Today's deep thought:

Tomatoes, while seemingly innocuous, cause a lot of strife in our society.  Contention over pronunciation of the word "tomato" is just one example of how they are tearing us English speakers apart.  And then there's that whole fruit vs. vegetable identity crisis.  

Of course, if people were eating me all the time, I'd probably try to mess with their heads too...

This is the Downtown Berkeley Post Office.  I have found it to be a lot more beautiful than it is functional.

Some people spend their Friday evenings playing sports out on the lawn.  Others hide in the shadows taking pictures of them.  How creepy!

I've been neglecting my picture taking responsibilities lately, so here's one I took of Ping a couple of months ago.

These flowers live in the front yard of the home I am currently inhabiting.  I have composed this limerick about them:

There once were some flowers so pretty

They inspired this nice little ditty,

I don't know their name,

But it's just the same,

They cheer me up when I feel...bad.

Look what pay phones have to do nowadays to attract our attention!   Have they no shame?

I guess the welcome balloons aren't so happy to see me anymore.  What goes up must come down...
